Visit the nearby beaches
In Cádiz and its surrounding province, we have some of the best beaches in Andalusia and Spain—I'm not exaggerating, I'd even say the world! They're all public beaches, and some are nudist beaches. They're as wide as the Caribbean, with fine white sand. During your vacation, you could visit a different beach every day. If the easterly wind is blowing, the best beaches are those in Caños de Meca and the coves of Roche because they're more sheltered. If you have pets, the beaches of Caños de Meca and Zahora are more dog-friendly. Then there's the famous Bolonia beach , where you can visit the Roman ruins completely free of charge and roll around on one of the largest dunes in the area. Cañuelo beach is one of the least visited due to its strategic location, but it's also one of the wildest. Right at the entrance to Barbate from Caños de Meca, there's another beautiful, wide beach with crystal-clear water: Playa Hierba Buena .
Surf
In El Palmar, there are over 30 surf schools where you can learn or improve your surfing technique. Most schools are located along the seafront; you can choose the one that suits you best. Here are a few: 9 Pies , Big Waves , Homies , Sureste , and Beltxa Surf . You don't need to bring your own equipment; you can rent a board and wetsuit or book a lesson with equipment included.
Yoga classes
After a whole year of work, a little yoga to relax the body and mind is just what we need. In El Palmar, you can sign up for group or private yoga sessions.
Horseback Riding Trails
Don't miss this wonderful experience! In El Palmar, you can enjoy beautiful horseback riding trails. Whether you're an expert or a beginner, they offer trails with gentle horses and mares, and if you're not feeling confident, you can start in the arena first. You can also choose between riding along the beach or in the countryside of Conil and Vejer de la Frontera.
Karting
Yes! Karting! We have a beautiful karting track in El Palmar, right on the Conil/Palmar road (A-2233 Km 2.8). It's called Circuito KR24. Get your adrenaline pumping!
Cycling
Since 2020, El Palmar has finally had a bike path, allowing you to cycle towards Barbate or Conil de la Frontera. You don't have to take your bike by car; there are several rental places in El Palmar and Conil, with prices ranging from €6 to €12 per day. There are also some excellent trails with beautiful views.
hiking
Besides cycling, you can also go hiking. If you like to stay in shape so you don't gain weight on your vacation, you can take long walks along the beach or on the various trails in the area. There are trails in Caños de Meca, Zahora, Barbate, and Conil.
